Colorado Springs National Karate
Welcome to Colorado Springs National Karate where we have been raising the bar in martial arts training since 1973! National Karate has a very rich history and tradition; our lineage is one of the strongest in the country and we can trace our roots back to the early foundations of Taekwondo in Korea.
Each one of our instructors work hard with every student to bring out the very best inside of them. Individual programs are tailored to help each student reach their potential. We have fun and work hard while developing respect, confidence, and discipline in a safe environment. Stranger Danger is a necessity in today’s world and a topic that we address frequently. Our self- defense program is customized for each individual to ensure confidence in technique as well as personal capability.
We offer programs for ages 4 and up and train students of all abilities. Life can get busy, therefore classes are offered 6 days per week to allow more flexibility to your schedule. We believe everyone can do Karate and there are no limitations at what you can personally achieve! Come join us! HAVE FUN and experience true martial arts training second to none.
About Mr. David Kuntz, Owner/Head Instructor
Mr. Kuntz began his martial arts training in 2003 at Plymouth National Karate in Minnesota. He earned his black belt in November, 2007 and was soon promoted as director of the Crystal National Karate location. He realized that he had the potential for being a great instructor. Mr. Kuntz developed and built Crystal National Karate into one of the top National Karate competing schools and won many school titles in both form and sparring.
After working for Master Worley for many years he was given the honor of opening a National Karate school outside of Minnesota. In the forty plus year history of National Karate, only three instructors have been granted such a privilege. Mr. Kuntz now resides in Colorado Springs, CO, home of the newest National Karate location. He believes in hard work, discipline and focus as foundational characteristics that allow a student to reach his/her goals. Most importantly, Mr. Kuntz likes to have fun, which is evident in every class.
Mr. Kuntz continues to stay active in sports karate sparring in both local and national events. He and his family love living in Colorado and are proud to bring National Karate to the Front Range.
